One of the toughest challenges a man face in his life is when he goes to the jewelry store to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend. If you know the taste of your girlfriend, then there is no reason to worry. But if you don’t know her taste in jewelry, then be careful, it may affect your marital life in the future.
If you ask me, what is the right way to buy engagement rings; my honest suggestion would be – allow her to pick engagement ring of her choice. Remember, she will wear this ring everyday. But if you still want to buy the dream engagement ring on your own for your would-be-bride, then you should pay attention to certain points which I am going to suggest below:

Your girlfriend is the person where your true love dwells. She is your passion and desires. You want her to be with you for the rest of your life. So, paying attention to her jewelry likes and dislikes is the first big step towards finding her the perfect engagement ring: What metal color does she wear now? If she loves white gold or platinum, don’t even look at a diamond or other stone mounted in a yellow gold ring setting. Check out what style of jewelry does she wear now? If you are an excellent observer, I am sure you will be able to gift her – the best engagement rings…diamond engagement rings, pearl engagement rings, gold engagement rings, silver engagement rings or platinum engagement rings.
Number 2: Has she ever mentioned her likes and dislikes?
This is one crucial point, if you know here likes and dislikes already; then make it a point to buy – her favorite engagement ring. If she loves diamond, pearl or any other gemstones, get it studded on her favorite metal…gold, silver or platinum.
Number 3: Check out what looks good on her hand?
My suggestion is whatever you buy should look good on her hand. It should enhance the beauty of her hand. I have observed that an elongated diamond can make short fingers look more sleek— but be careful not to overdo the look or it could have the opposite effect. Women with long fingers can easily wear bold ring styles. A setting that’s extremely delicate could get lost on large hands. Be careful.
Number 4: Right Shape and Setting Matters
Right shape and setting can make your engagement rings really look beautiful. Fancier shapes are a big hit among the new generation. Round diamonds are the number one shape preferred by brides.
Number 5: Her Lifestyle
Buy an engagement ring that fits her lifestyle. Give her fancy engagement ring if she is colorful or a sober engagement ring if she is a working woman.
Number 6: Her Ring Size
Get one of her rings secretly from her friend or family members. You need her ring to buy a perfect engagement ring from online jewelry store.
