Slow Cooker Recipes – Volume 3
In previous volumes of slow cooker recipes we've covered savory dishes and desserts made using a slow cooker. This volume gives great recipes for drinks cooker. hot cider, fruit punch, hot chocolate and do a few good recipes included in this article. I hope you enjoy them!
Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
3 cups milk powder
1 cup powdered sugar
3 / 4 cup cocoa powder
1 / 4 c. salt
2 v. teaspoon vanilla
1 / 2 cup chocolate syrup
1 / 2 cup cream powder (Substitute)
7 cups water
Marshmallows and candy canes
Directions:
In a large pot, combine milk powder, powdered sugar, powdered of cocoa, salt, vanilla, chocolate syrup and cream. Stir well with while gradually adding water. Put the lid on the pot and set over low heat. Cook for a total of four hours, stirring once after the first two hours. Stir just before serving, pour into cups with marshmallows and candy canes for stirring.
Spiced Apple Cider
Ingredients
1 / 2 cup light brown sugar
2 liters of apple cider
1 tsp Tea whole allspice
1 1 / 2 tsp teaspoon cloves
3 sticks whole cinnamon
2 large oranges (sliced)
Directions:
Put the apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and oranges in the slow cooker. Stir until sugar Brown has been dissolved. Cover the pot and cook on low heat setting for about three or four hours. Be sure to strain the spices before serving.
Spiced Cherry Cider
Ingredients
3 1 / 2 liters of apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
2 (3 ounces) flavored gelatin cherry
Directions:
Pour apple cider in slow cooker. Add cinnamon sticks and cover. Set over high heat and cook for three hours. Stir the mixture while adding cherry gelatin. Bake for one hour so the gelatin can be dissolved. Keep the hot cider over low heat and stir well before serving.
Warmed Fruit Punch
Ingredients
8 cups water
1 (6 oz) frozen lemonade concentrate (Thawed)
1 (12-oz) cranberry juice and raspberry frozen concentrate (Thawed)
1 / 2 cup sugar
1 / 4 c. pepper Jamaica whole
4 cinnamon sticks
1 / 4 c. cloves
Directions:
Pour water, juice and thawed lemonade raspberries cranberries, sugar, allspice, cinnamon sticks, cloves in the crock pot. If you wish, you can put the spices in a cheesecloth before placing in the crock pot, otherwise you'll need to strain the spices before serving. Cover the pot and cook over high heat for three hours. Reduce heat to low. Remove spices if they are not tied in cheesecloth. Keep warm and serve directly from the cooker.
Wassail
Ingredients
6 cups apple juice
6 cups cranberry juice
6 cups orange juice
6 cups lemonade
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups water
4 cinnamon sticks
1 orange (sliced)
1 tsp tsp cloves
1 tsp tablespoon Angostura bitters
2 cups rum extract
Directions:
Pour the apple juice, orange juice, lemonade, cranberry juice, water, cinnamon sticks, orange slices, sugar, cloves, and Angostura in the slow cooker. Set at a low heat setting and cook for about seven hours. Add rum extract just before serving. Remove the cloves, orange slices and cinnamon sticks before serving.
