Heart to Heart

IDEAL Dear families,

Last week in Heart to Heart, I invited the children to join me on a "journey of virtue." I told them that we have the opportunity understanding and experience of each school under IDEAL believes in.

This "journey virtue" of each child to see the true courage, firmness, humor, joy, perseverance, tolerance and unconditional love. Each student has a deep compassion, empathy, benevolence, etc. This year we will all have the opportunity to be spiritually changed forever as human beings.

Man who paints

During the summer, my children and Korey Kyle participated in a camp in Northern California for children with cerebral palsy. An adviser said that his personality playful and Korey enthusiasm for life was similar to the counselor met someone in Santa Monica, California. Korey said that the man was an artist named Gille Legacy. Gille also severe cerebral palsy. Gille is an artist who creates beautiful paintings using only the nose. Korey and I were very curious to Gille and talents "to paint the nose." We were shocked when we saw the beautiful paintings of angels and landscapes in pastel. Reading the first paragraph of the autobiography of Gilles knew that this singular artist would be a part of our lives. The website indicates that when Gille was seven years old in the room of his sister in his limbs and put his nose disfigured Set in painting the field. He moved paint around the paper, and when he looked up to see the final product to his amazement he had painted a red bird. (Cardinal?)

Make friends with Gille

Korey and I have been emailing his wife Sandi and Gille (married for two weeks) since the summer. They are wonderful people and inspiring. Korey Gille inspired to believe in a future for himself at a time when dreams were only seen Korey for his brother without a disability. Gille and his wife Sandi example of all virtues that our children to aspire to. My family is very worried about what wonderful couple in person. The action plan is ....

IDEAL under Travel

Last week, the children watched a documentary on DVD Gille and Sandi. The students were friendly and enthusiastic Gille for life. I am very proud of his children! For students in the coming weeks in the Ms. Kozyra art classes, grades 2-7, will study art Gille (style, techniques) and then create their own works with only the face. Children approach this challenge with maturity and compassion as they gain knowledge and understanding Gille everyday reality. After completion of students 'Nose' paintings we will organize an evening for families to come see a great documentary DVD and Gille see the art of child labor.

Students are also talking with Gille in the heart of the Heart class to come with a webcam and computer. They have the opportunity to share their experience with Gille and ask questions about his art and life.

Dr. Soderman and the Committee have an ideal meeting Sunfest with Paul Jamieson, president of Sunfest, when it will present a plan for Gille Legacy (sponsored by IDEAL School) exhibit and sell their paintings at Sunfest.

I shared the details of this "journey of virtue" with their children. They are eager to their virtues learned in action and let your mind.
